I first got into Scuba Diving in the run up to a family holiday on which my Sister Hannah (another of Stellar’s MSDs) was intending to dive in the Bahamas and made a passing comment of “why don’t you lean and dive with me” to which I had the very enthusiastic response of “yeah – something to do ain’t it?”

Fast forward a month to April 2014 and I was doing my Open Water course. My first open water dives were off Chesil beach where it was a chilly 10 degrees and I was in a wetsuit which quickly lead me to associate diving with being cold and seeing nothing! However fast forward again to our family holiday and how things changed! Crystal clear waters, amazing reefs and about 20 Caribbean reef sharks – I was instantly hooked! Since then I’ve been lucky enough to join Stellar on 3 Liveaboards in Egypt as well as doing my AOW, Rescue and 5 specialty courses! My favourite of which have been the DPV spec and the Rescue course. I’ve racked up over 100 dives now and even enjoy diving in the chilly UK waters which I never would have thought from my first couple of open water dives! Despite not being local, Hotch, Vic and the rest of the Stellar team have always made me feel welcome and given me amazing training and advice and I fully intend to carry on diving with them as often as I can!”
